Open Libraries, Open Minds. Our progressive state of California is closing down libraries as a way to fix the budget. Our schools are shutting down summer school sessions. Cutting off support to our children when they need it most does not make sense to this artist. Kids need to read. It is the great leveler in American education. Keep the libraries open. Keep the afterschool programs. Keep art and music in our schools. Save now and pay to keep people in prison later, it is our choice.
